At the south end of York station is DRS type 3 37423 parked up for whatever reason. Nearby is 43208 which is the rear powercar of 1S24, 1600 Kings Cross to Aberdeen East Coast service. 12/9/2012
This East Midlands HST really threw me as I thought it was an East Midlands service but the set is on hire to East Coast and will form 1Y90 1801 York to Kings Cross. The lead powercar is 43054.
Running into York station from the south is 185133 on 1P48 1605 Manchester Airport to Scarborough Trans Pennine service. Oh how I wish this was a Peak with nine mkI coaches like the old days.
