The type 5 has 20 empty JNA large bogie boxes on the drawbar. The quarry is being infilled with non hazardous spoil and rubble from the London Crossrail and HS2 projects and it is expected to run until about 2037 when the job will be complete and the site restored with topsoil. Part of the quarry face will be retained as a climbing wall. All materials are being brought in by rail, some 1500 tonnes at a time. 11/5/2022
Colas tamper DR73920 is parked up in the long siding at Towyn beside the Talyllyn Railway loading bank where formerly slate products were off loaded from the narrow gauge waggons onto standard gauge ones for onward transport. 14/10/2022
