    Perfectly lit with the morning sun, 4771 passes by Grosmont shed. The driver has the steam sanders on for grip on the damp and greasy rails. Again Ray Towell is on the footplate. Sadly 4771 would be failed later in the day with leaking tubes.
    Ahoy Matey!  The late and greatly missed Ray Towell of the National Railway Museum.  A steam man who was passionate about the museum's locos especially Great Western Railway 4-4-0 3440 City of Truro, he would  not hear a bad word said against it.
