Tug Fest in the Peak District II....Mostly

This was the last day of my five day summer tour of Yorkshire and Derbyshire and my second visit to Peak Forest and the class 60 Tug action it promises. Semaphore signals are prolific and the day started well with the sun shining. The biggest surprise of the day was when Dundee's very own Genstar from the Scot-Rail list walked in from Doveholes. 11/8/2006

    66056 reverses its train into the sidings that serve the RMC quarry. The sky is looking black, stormy and wet and it had become quite cold.
    Perfect timing as nature makes good its earlier threat and a heavy rain shower clears the dust of the day. At that point Freightliner Heavy Haul 66514 passes the refurbished former Midland Railway signalbox with 6Z52 FO 1500 Eggborough Power Station to Dowlow empty lime hoppers.
    66056 has recessed its train train and now it draws out five loaded hoppers from another rake.
