The power plant erupts with an impressive plume of two stroke exhaust clag as the loco and train, 6H52 1644 Dowlow to Ashburys loaded stone bogie boxes, slowly starts to move up the 1 in 90 grade.
66078 snaked its train out of the loop line and will be working extremely hard to lift the heavy train up the 1 in 90 gradient and over come the side forces on the wheel flanges .
The last shot of the day and of the Summer Tour and 66078 gets to grips with the departure for Ashburys, near Manchester. A great week and now the drive down to Dorset.
