The south end of Perth station and DRS 66402 runs through platform 1 with 3S93 Inverness to Inverness via Dundee and other places Rail Head Treatment Train.
Having stood for a few minutes in the throat area while the crew changed locos and the various roads were set, 66408 now leads the train back into the station.
The annual leaf fall season causes problems when falling leaves are crushed below the wheels leaving a slippery mulch on the rail head. High pressure water is blasted onto the rail head to clear the mulch.
