    The change in gradient behind the train is from level, where the 70 mph sign is, pulling up to 1 in 160  to just behind me when it stiffens further to 1 in 100.  The nearest mile post is 62 miles from  Stanley Junction.
    At this point, Crubenmore, the line is climbing at 1 in 100 and the loco is working but not too hard to keep to time.
    A side on view of 61994 and Peter Walker has made himself comfortable sitting on the tender!
