I managed a quick grab shot as 61994 reaches Druimuachdar Summit and it is downhill all the way to Blair Athol, 19 miles away.
When the line was doubled the second viaduct was built of metal on stone piers. 61994 passes south over the "new" viaduct as the train drops down at 1 in 80 with the safety valves blowing.
A stop for water is taken at Pitlochry. More than half the train was off the end of the platform so passengers could not get off. This was done to get the tanker as close as possible to the tender.
