    Water is taken at the north end of Perth's platform 7.
    After the Perth stop it is onwards to Inverness with a few stops for the passengers to disembark onto the Royal Scotsman's road coach. Here the loco works hard against the 1 in 153 gradient at Denmarkfield a mile or so south of Luncarty. This location was a favourite for filming and photographing the A4's on the Glasgow to Aberdeen 3 hour expresses in the 1960's.  The dual carriageway A9, visible behind the train, was not built in those days
    Running well over an hour late and without passengers, they got off at Dunkeld to go shooting at a nearby estate, 4472 emerges from the viaduct over the River Tay at Dalguise. The driver has just reopened the regulator as the train speeds on across the River Tay flood plain on a low embankment.
