    A stop for water is taken at Pitlochry. More than half the train was off the end of the platform so passengers could not get off. This was done to get the tanker as close as possible to the tender.
    During the water stop at Pitlochry I moved on to Ballinluig and the new bridge over the A9 dual carriageway to Aberfeldy. The sun has made a very rare appearance.
    The railway runs beside the road here and falls in the direction of travel at 1 in 100. 61994 comes by at speed with the regulator shut and the valves lifting.
