Classic traction! I knew this unit was running courtesy of the signalman at Berwick. Class 201 Thumper DEMU 1001 runs empty through the station as 5T35 St. Leonards Depot to Hastings Park carriage sidings. It should have formed the 1624 service to Ashford but a turbostar covered the turn.
Southern liveried class 377 Electrostar unit 377164 departs Hastings as 5D33 1615 to Ore ECS.
Turbostar 171721 departs Hastings and its impressive semaphore signals complete with finials. The duty is 2T35 1624 to Ashford and it should have been covered by the Thumper unit 1001.
