    The next morning was cold and wet and the location is Redhill.  A South Eastern class 508 unit, 508203 works a class 2 service 2B36 0933 Tonbridge to London Bridge.
    The view to the north at Redhill and a pair of class 377 Electrostar units with 377420 leading a down service.  The small electrical substation on the left is covered in graffiti.
    On the non electrified route from Reading to Redhill via Guildford class 166 Networker DMU 166207 speeds through the country station of Betchworth with 1V41 1003 from Gatwick Airport to Reading.  The station building is no longer in railway use.  It was opened in 1849 by the Reading, Guildford and Reigate Railway.  It was later absorbed into the South Eastern Railway then becoming part of the Southern Railway.
