On shed at Thornton

A few images from the eleven years, 2007 - 2018, the locos 60009 and 61994 were based at Thornton. Other locos who came were 4464 "Bittern", 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley", 60163 "Tornado", 70013 "Oliver Cromwell", 6201 "Princess Elizabeth", 62005 and various Black Fives.

    The loco secondman has come through the bonnet and out of the inspection hatches so he can give the windscreens a good clean.
    Time to go and 37669 eases forward with the train, 5Z16 0915 Thornton Shed to Dalgety Bay. Once there it will sit for 20 minutes before leaving for Tweedbank.
    On arrival at Tweedbank the train will sit for a while before 45407 takes the train back to Dalgety Bay via the Fife Circle. After another short dwell it will form another train to Tweedbank with 45407 leading. Time to head home.
