Milford Yard, Selby and Gascoigne Wood

Day 2 of my mini North Yorkshire tour and I start off at a place I never visited when I lived just a few miles away at RAF Church Fenton. South Milford Yard is a major stabling point for loaded and empty coal trains. Selby station is a shadow of its former self and Gascoigne Wood is just a massive white elephant with the closure of the Selby coalfield. 8/8/2006

    Another coal working, unidentified this time, approaches behind 66206. It will take the west to south spur to join the ECML.
    Less than a mile westwards is Hagg Lane level crossing at the east end of the Gacoigne Wood complex. 185109 runs west bound for Manchester Piccadilly with 1K23 1710 off Hull.
    153317 is seen again but now it is coupled with 155345 and forms an unknown working.  The destination blind shows SELBY so it may be in service now.
