A down HST service, 1B42 1415 Paddington to Cardiff, powers up judging by the clag from the lead powercar, as it passes by the yard. The powercars are 43149 and 43148.
66102 comes off the docks branch with a rake of loaded HAA coal hoppers. The train is 6F57 1600 Newport Docks to Aberthaw Power Station. The train will have to run round to the east of the station, possibly at East Usk as Aberthaw is south west of Cardiff.
