    A pair of class 153 bubblecars, including 153370, cross from the relief to the main roads at Gaer Junction with 2B79 1505 Taunton to Cardiff. The line behind the barrier on the left goes to Park Junction on the line to Ebbw Vale and forms a triangle of lines.
    The second of the two daily diagrams that brings a class 180 unit into South Wales is 1B48 1515 Paddington to Swansea. 180109 forms this service as it powers away from Newport at Gaer Junction.
    An unidentified class 66 brings a rake of loaded steel coil wagons over Gaer Junction from the curve to the left of shot.  The train details are not known.
