Back with the railtour and 47727 gets to the top of Lochmuir Bank where the 1 in 102 1/2 climb reaches level track. The loco is working hard lifting its ten mkI coaches and dead class 66 loco too.
Still with power on 47727 passes a tall row of trees that have grown from the site of the down goods loop.
In their height there were some 512 class 47 locos and were the workhorse of the Railway. In 2018 there were about 30 still at work on the main line. Always nice to hear the Sulzer sound of a duff at work.
