The last of the early morning rush and yet another ECS turn. 221120 forms 5A01 0436 Craigentinny to Dundee. The two ECS Voyagers leave Craigentinny within five minutes of each other but this is the first one off. It is booked through Waverley, round the Suburban Line for route knowledge retention and back through Waverley.
Like the previous cross country train, it is a shame this is not an HST considering its diagram for the day. The set crosses the River Eden and catches the glint.
On arrival at Dundee is forms a class 2 local service to Aberdeen, 2A01 0642 off, stopping at Arbroath, Montrose and Stonehaven. At Aberdeen it will become 1V60 0820 to Penzance, the longest distance train in the UK. Now to head back home for breakfast, a great selection of trains in less than an hour. 13/7/2016
