Transrail branded 37799 emerges from beneath the A92 Thornton bypass with what I believe to be 6D10 0956 Longannet to Mossend via Thornton Yard enterprise service. If it is then it is running quite late.
The train gains the southbound road of the main line at Thornton South Junction. The rake is 12 tanks and hoppers probably loaded with flyash from Longannet power station for making into cement. 11/6/1999
66113 stands at Thornton Yard and is quite literally fresh out of the box. It arrived at Newport Docks on 29th of May, less than two weeks before this photo was taken. It crossed the Atlantic Ocean from Canada on board the MV Stellamare. 12/6/1999
