English Electrics in the Highlands....mostly

A collection of locos from the stable of English Electric making an appearance predominantly in the Scottish Highlands on railtours, some are on home territory and others are treading new ground. Type 3, 4 and 5 locomotives of four different classes all feature here. Fantastic.

    No photostop this time and the train heads on eastwards. It is seen passing near Strathbran.
    A little further east and the light had improved somewhat. 37401 and 37417 pass over the viaduct near Achanalt. Ross and I leave the tour here due to the falling light. 28/8/2005
    A pair of class 50's back in Scotland on railtour duty. Fifty Fund's 50031 and 50049 have been renumbered and renamed on one side only as 50028 Tiger and 50012 Benbow. They are working 1Z27 0640 Swindon to Inverness railtour seen at Forteviot. 16/6/06
