Colton Junction and Church Fenton

Week two of the 2006 summer tour and this part of the world is well known to me as I used to live at nearby RAF Church Fenton in the mid 1980's and never wanted to leave. The half Yorkshireman in me had a yearning to stay, but the RAF had other ideas and I did get moved away. This was however a great day on an old stomping ground and I relished the traction but wished I could be back in 1985.......with my digital camera. Sigh!!! 7/8/2006

    A London bound mkIV set powers south led by DVT 82220 with 91114 providing the power for 1E15 1200 Glasgow Central to Kings Cross.
    Identifying Voyager set numbers is not easy, but 221143 has been identified as has its train ID, 1O26 1305 Edinburgh to Bournemouth.
    Not all GNER services go to Scotland, Leeds, Hull and Newcastle are all served as well as the four Scottish destinations. DVT 82227 fronts service 1A36 1455 Newcastle to Kings Cross, the class 91 loco is not known.
