Colton Junction and Church Fenton

Week two of the 2006 summer tour and this part of the world is well known to me as I used to live at nearby RAF Church Fenton in the mid 1980's and never wanted to leave. The half Yorkshireman in me had a yearning to stay, but the RAF had other ideas and I did get moved away. This was however a great day on an old stomping ground and I relished the traction but wished I could be back in 1985.......with my digital camera. Sigh!!! 7/8/2006

    Another Bournemouth to Edinburgh Cross Country service passes by with an unknown Voyager, the working is 1S61 0946 off the south coast town.
    Over on the ECML a class 220 Voyager heads north for Newcastle with 1E45 1330 off Birmingham New Street.
    A five vehicle Trans Pennine train, 1M57 1446 Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street, is formed by a three and two car class 158 sprinters, one of which is 158771.
