Colton Junction and Church Fenton

Week two of the 2006 summer tour and this part of the world is well known to me as I used to live at nearby RAF Church Fenton in the mid 1980's and never wanted to leave. The half Yorkshireman in me had a yearning to stay, but the RAF had other ideas and I did get moved away. This was however a great day on an old stomping ground and I relished the traction but wished I could be back in 1985.......with my digital camera. Sigh!!! 7/8/2006

    Freightliner have a depot in Leeds called Midland Road. 66556 runs light as 0S15 from the depot to York's Holgate Sidings to pickup a raft of empty coal hoppers for one of the Ayrshire open cast coal pits.
