A visitor to Stirling

Mike and I have an afternoon on Stirling station to witness the arrival of a visitor. Siemmens, the builder of the Desiro class of units was holding a presentaion marking the introduction of the new class 185 units on First Group's Trans Pennine services. The event was held at Stirling Castle and one of their units was brought up to stay a while in the station. 7/2/2007

    Looking south from the road overbridge at the north end of the station with 67030 and 185138 visible to the left of shot. Standing in platform 6 is 170472 which will depart at 1653 back to Glasgow Queen Street as 2N56.
    SPT liveried 170477 passes the North 'box with the short run to Dunblane and journey's end. It left Glasgow at 1549, 2N47.
