Tug Fest in the Peak District III.....Even less so

A further return to the Peak District for a couple of days to lookout new locations around Peak Forest, Great Rocks and for the first time Buxton and the quarries beyond. I was not to be disappointed. 9+10+11/7/2007

Walking back to the car and I pass over the Monsal Trail, a public footpath built on the old railway line. This is the view looking east through Chee Dale. WOW!
If I had stayed at Chee Dale for another 15 minutes I would have seen this train heading for Buxton and Dowlow, I only heard it pass by as I was walking back to the car. 66614 stands at the head of its train as it is loaded with limestone at Dowlow Quarry in lovely evening sun.
Cows contently graze as the train is loaded and the driver moves it forward every so often. The working is 6E55 WFO 2101 Dowlow to Cottam Power Station. The limestone is used in the power stations desulphurisation plant.
