Tug Fest in the Peak District III.....Even less so rd

A further return to the Peak District for a couple of days to lookout new locations around Peak Forest, Great Rocks and for the first time Buxton and the quarries beyond. I was not to be disappointed. 9+10/7/2007

In Chee Dale and after a long walk I got into the position I wanted the previous morning with 67017, and on time appears 66025 with 6H63 1654 WO Dowlow to Northenden loaded stone boxes.
66025 passes the site of Peak Forest Junction signalbox and the milepost is Zero for the route to St Pancras via Derby. I should have actually stood a bit further round where the line would pass below me and I would have had a more spectacular backdrop.
THIS is the dramatic backdrop I would've had if only I had looked at it better. The former junction is more visible and the ZERO milepost is still to be seen....darn it!
