No9 approaches Dundee station coming off the Tay Viaduct with a tour to Aberdeen. The date is not known. Photo Mike Mather.
The location is Berwick upon Tweed and the reason why the loco is parked up there is not known other than it must have failed on a tour and put here for what ever reason. The date is unknown as the details on the Exif can not be trusted.

This was the first day of a week tours and engine movements for the BR green A4. 60009 leads Princess Coronation class pacific 6233 Duchess of Sutherland away from Crewe for York. It is thought that this was the first time a Duchess and an A4 have been paired. Both locos were being positioned for Scarborough Spa Express duties.
