    31128 passes the two Up starter signals as it runs in with 1R15 1632 River Frome to Swanage service. The loco carries the name "Charybdis" which is a sea monster in Greek Mythology. Apart from the failure on the Friday which was fixed, 31128 has had a monster of a successful gala. This is its last trip of the weekend.
    As the gala winds down all locos are heading back to Swanage. On the back of 31128's train is D4 and will stay on the back to Swanage.
    D4 "Great Gable" has been my absolute star of the gala and if it was running all day on the Thursday warm up I would've persuaded Ross to join me in riding behind it all day. It wasn't so we went to the Haynes Motor Museum instead https://www.jules-merlin27.com/Military-Vehicles/The-Haynes-International-Motor-Museum/ that was a good day too.
