2019 Swanage Railway Diesel Gala

The annual Swanage Diesel Gala cannot be missed - Resistance is Futile! So Ross and I boldly went where we always go, to Wareham for a weekend of family, friends and fun. It would be rude not to go so we can't have that.
A weekend of stunning weather and another first for the Railway, a visit by a class 59, but for the third time class 44 peak D4 failed to arrive.

    This is just how I remember the class 33's when they worked the Bournemouth to Weymouth legs of the London trains through Wareham in the 1970's. 33111 is in a work stained BR blue livery and looks the part with the green coaches. BUT just wait until the blue and grey 4TC set is running, now that will be a time warp!!
    The class 50 50007/14 makes another trip out of Swanage but just as far as Corfe this time. The class 2 train comes round the curve at Afflington.
