2019 Swanage Railway Diesel Gala

The annual Swanage Diesel Gala cannot be missed - Resistance is Futile! So Ross and I boldly went where we always go, to Wareham for a weekend of family, friends and fun. It would be rude not to go so we can't have that.
A weekend of stunning weather and another first for the Railway, a visit by a class 59, but for the third time class 44 peak D4 failed to arrive.

    The class 26 and 33 are both from the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company and are nearly identical in equipment and appearance, just the centre windscreen being the main difference.
    The next up train for the River Frome is class 2, BR Derby built D7535 with 1R12 1439 off Swanage.  The headcode does not relate to any Swanage service.
    On checking my spotting books it would appear that 25185, as D7535 became, eluded me.  In 1985 it was a Manchester Longsight loco and never made it over to York any of the times I was there, which was most Saturdays.
