2014 Swanage Railway Diesel Gala

Once more Ross and I venture south to sunny Dorset and a weekend of pure indulgence of wall to wall diesel traction on the Swanage branch at their annual Diesel Gala. Oh and also to see my parents, elder brother and loads of mates.....and drink some beer. Well it would be rude not to!!

    41001 and 50011 (on this side of the loco) are caught by the sun between the dark clouds.
    The sun lights up the castle ruins and 41001. The production powercars had a different design to the prototype with no buffers and a different single cab window.
    More clag from 41001 means just one thing.......money has changed hands and a finger has pressed the start button. The overhauled Paxman Valenta powerunit is starting with ease and is NOT the original one for this vehicle.
