2014 Swanage Railway Diesel Gala

Once more Ross and I venture south to sunny Dorset and a weekend of pure indulgence of wall to wall diesel traction on the Swanage branch at their annual Diesel Gala. Oh and also to see my parents, elder brother and loads of mates.....and drink some beer. Well it would be rude not to!!

    The going away shot sees the pair of Southern Region stalwarts lit by the sun under a threatening sky.
    Viewed through Haycrafts Lane bridge is the next down class 1 working runs through Harmans Cross with 55002 and the 4TC set with 1S07 1405 Norden to Swanage.
    The driver of 55002 has opened up slightly and an exhaust haze lifts from the exhaust port of the one engine that is running.
